Get Ready to Vote May 21
Learn about the candidates and measures on the May 21 ballot at Voter Information Forums Monday, April 15, and Tuesday, April 30, at 7 p.m. in the Main Auditorium.
 
Monday, April 15, meet candidates for Oak Lodge Water and Oak Lodge Sanitary District board positions and learn about two Clackamas County ballot measures regarding land transfers and other light rail agreements with TriMet and a Metro Regional Government parks and natural areas maintenance levy.
 
Tuesday, April 30, meet candidates for Clackamas Community College, Clackamas Education Service District, North Clackamas School District and Clackamas Fire District board positions.
 
The public is invited to these Voter Information Committee sponsored events.
 
Reminder: April 30 is the deadline for new voter registrations. Registration forms are available at all Reception Desks or you can register to vote online at www.oregonvotes.orgBallots for the May 21 election will be mailed May 1. They must be returned by 8 p.m. Tuesday, May 21.

METRO BALLOT MEASURE 26-152
The first hour of the program will be a discussion of the "Metro Natural Areas Local Option Levy" Measure 26-152.  This levy will be 9.6 cents per $1,000 of assessed value.  About half of the money will be spent on restoration projects and the other half for park operations.  The people discussing this levy will be Carlotta Collette, our Metro representative, and John Charles from the Cascade Policy Institute.

SPECIAL DISTRICTS – CANDIDATES FORUM
The second hour of the program will be dedicated to the Special Districts: Clackamas Community College (CCC), North Clackamas School District (NCSD), Oak Lodge Sanitary District (OLSD) and Oak Lodge Water District (OLWD) with the OLWD candidates being last as it will likely be the most contested race.
